Why?

Why graduate school?
While I was close to reaching four years of employment at HID Global, and a total of eight years working professionally I was growing more enthusiastic toward pursuing a higher degree within my field. I chose CalArts as a graduate school because I knew it would challenge and grow me in ways that the corporate office could not. It would also provide me momentum in affecting the culture that I am apart of.

I was greatly interested in what graphic design was at a higher level, or a level that was not available in my corporate environment. I had to fuel my passion for design and slake my yearnings to know more and perform at a higher level. I desired to give back more to my future employer(s), clients and ultimately my students. Teaching on the college level is a long term goal and ultimately building relationships with future designers is equally important as shaping culture.
