PROJECT: Black Diamond Workbook. Partnering with Black Diamond to push the limits of the brand led to a disruptive and oversized workbook. Merritt Studio was tasked with re inventing their current workbook and provide a greater representation of their heritage and their athletes. Departing from black and white photography and embracing fantastic, full-color photography elevated the brand and captured the essence and spirit of the BDLife.
The Black Diamond Workbook had editorial sections that focused on the heritage of the brand, showcased brand ambassadors, featured a photo essay by Tim Kemple and spoke to Black Diamond’s community engagement.
New typography was also introduced to the workbook and is proving to be a push to reimagine the typographic landscape of the brand.
